Roche Diagnostics Korea

More than 10 million tests were conducted by July this year since COVID 19 pandemic last 1.5 years in Korea. With increasing test volume in the continuous COVID-19 pandemic, the laboratory needs to meet the growing needs of daily testing requirements with highly efficient workflows rather than a manual process which requires lots of labor-intensive works, that healthcare faces accumulated fatigue of the lab staffs and labor shortage. For the solution to this situation, it is time to consider a "High-throughput Automated COVID 19 test system" The information on Roche cobas 6800 system, which is registered as the first automation system for COVID19 testing in Korea, its real clinical practice is introduced.

Tests for diagnosing and monitoring chronic kidney disease

In many cases, chronic kidney disease (CKD) is only found when a routine blood or urine test you have for another problem shows that your kidneys may not be working normally. Therefore, to know how well kidneys are working is to get tested. This is especially important for people who have diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of kidney disease. In this session, we will discuss the clinical application of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). We will also look at testing for urine albumin.
